About I Ching Reflections

I Ching Reflections is a quiet place to consult the I Ching: cast a reading, read the classical text carefully, and think about what it means for you.

How it works

• The cast is made by ordinary code, not by AI. Lines are generated with your browser's cryptographic random number generator, using the exact odds of the coin or yarrow-stalk methods. You can also enter a cast you made yourself.
• The texts come from the site's own library. Every hexagram and every line has the classical Chinese text, an English rendering, and plain-language notes. See sources.
• AI is optional. The site can package your reading into a careful prompt for an AI service you already use. That AI interprets the reading; it never produces or changes it.

Our approach

We treat the I Ching as a book for reflection. Readings here describe tendencies and possibilities. They never predict outcomes, and the site will never tell you that something will "definitely" happen.
